Hi!

The city is replacing our service line tomorrow(since it's apprently made of lead) and I'm just seeing if anyone on here has any insight on how long it takes and how long they will be in my basement. I live with my retired mom, and she is prone to getting panicked when we have to have service people in the house for whatever reason. I'm going to be home, since my job allows me to be hybrid. I cant imagine they will need to be down there for more than an hour? Or am I totally off the mark? I know they will need to shut the water off while they are working and I know where the meter is to show it to them and I cleared the area near it over the weekend so they should be good to go and in a

Tongue Piercing and Gums

general question about piercing

Hi!

So I got my tongue pierced almost a week ago and healing has been going good so far. No more swelling and I can relatively normally but I'm still sticking to soft stuff for a bit longer. Besides the longer bar sitting a little uncomfortablely in my mouth now that the swelling is gone, I think it's healing great. I probably should have thought to really think about this before I got the piercing but I keep seeing stuff about out how your gums can erode over time more if you have a tongue piercing.

Any tips on how to better prevent this? My oral hygiene is good and obviously I've been even more serious about it now that I've been taking care of this healing piercing. I go to the dentis

So my ex best friend and I have been friends for 15 years. We're both 24. I love her and her 2 kids like they are my own blood relatives. But I cut ties with her around 3 weeks ago because every time I tried to discuss how she was hurting my feelings and how her actions lately were mean and petty she would start a fight and get real nasty with me.

One example is her getting mad at a mutual friend for not moving to our state like she's been talking about. The friend and I pointed out that we're in the middle of a pandemic and that would be next to impossible right now. Plus our friend makes good money at her job and has her own kid to support so she can't just make rash decisions. This ups

So I quit last sunday on the spot and it's been really nice to not have to stress out so much. I quit because I was only ever being scheduled outside of my availability and they never even tried to work with me. But my question today is, would you still shop at the same store you just quit from? It's the closest target to me and I like shopping at target, just not working there. Would you still continue to shop there even though you'll more than likely run into someone you dont want to?

I couldn't take it anymore and quit. I'll miss a few people but this wasnt a long term job for me. My family and I are moving in a few months and I'm going back to school so bye T1895.

We got the new schedule for January 12th - 18th. Aaand I have a 4.75 hour shift 🙄. I'm not seasonal, since I started in early April and my one coworker barely got 10 hours that week. But I'm definitely taking this as a sign to start applying to other places and to get the hell out of here asap.

EDIT: Looks like one of my coworkers has abandoned her job, depends if she comes in tomorrow or not. So I told my Team Lead I'd take her shifts that she was scheduled for that week if she actually need just up and leave.

I have sciatica and being in shoes is making it worse. I'm going to the doctor to get a written note or something saying I cant be on the floor bending as much as I do. I honestly wouldn't mind being a cashier or guest service. I just don't know who to talk to once I get the note from the doctor. Would it be HR or my ETL? My HR-ETL is really nice and a lot easier to work with than my ETL.

So I'm still getting over the flu and I called out yesterday and one day last week because I had a horrible migraine. Will I get in trouble for calling out again today? I'm not in my 90 days or anything since I've been at Target since April. I feel bad calling in but I'm still not 100%.

Came into today at 11am and finished 16 shoe repacks. Was feeling pretty damn good about my day since most of that was backstock and I had been able to zone while I put everything that I could out on to the floor.

Then my TL told me that there was an entire pallet of shoe freight that had been hiding in receiving. I only have an hour left of my shift and she seriously expects me to put everything out and backstock the stuff I have to. That's just impossible. My mydevice died as I was back stocking so I decided I would take my 15 now since I gotta go back there anyway. But by the time I get down with the 3 tier I left back there it'll be time to go.

Had a guest inform me that a man was sniffing the panties in the panty bins 🤮 He ran off once he saw that the guest and her boyfriend were watching him. Reported it to AP but he had already left the store. I'm so weirded out.

So this Saturday I work 430pm-11pm. That's a normal shift for me. But Sunday I work 615am-1145am doing breakout on the truck for style. Legally dont they have to give you at least 8 hours in between shifts? I talked to my TL about changing my Saturday hours but nothing has been changed and all this week I work nights and he works days, so I'll never see him to remind him.

I can't call out again, since I just did last Saturday for being sick and I honestly dont want to. But by the time I get home, take my dogs out and shower I wont be in bed until 1am and I'll have to be up by at least 5 or 530am. So I'm just wondering what I should do in case my TL doesnt change my hours. I'm gonna leave h

So I'm lactose intolerant, and I accidentally ate something with dairy this morning. I've felt gross for the last hour and I just knew i had to call in.

My ETL was super nice about it and wasnt a jerk or anything, but I feel kinda bad about calling in. I know they wouldn't want me there running to the bathroom every few minutes and nothing getting done, but I feel like an asshole for doing it.

So I'm a style Tm. I hop through all the departments since our store hasn't officially done DBOs yet. On July 14th I'm scheduled for inbound. I've never worked truck before and I asked my TL if the schedule was right since it seemed weird that I was scheduled for that. He said it was right and that he would change my hours for the day before cause I dont get done till 11pm.

Does any style tms here ever get scheduled for inbound? None of my coworkers in style ever have and were just as confused as me as to why they have me doing that.

I've been scheduled in shoes pretty much the next 2 weeks, and I want to pull my hair out. I hate it so much. Was talking to a TL today about how their going to give everyone a dedicated area. She asked me if I liked working in shoes and I flat out told her no. I would rather be anywhere else. I've only been here 2 months but if they make me the DBO for shoes I will seriously quit. I just can't handle the disaster that is that area. I can super zone RTW or B/G super quickly and make everything look amazing but I can feel myself just get panicky when I come into work and see how bad shoes looks.
