Yesterday afternoon I reached 38 hours over 6 days.

The app kept notifying me that surges were available, but all I saw was a 2-hour base-pay 8-10 PM block. No thank you. (Around here, that's a good way to get shot.)

Nothing today either. Looks like we're still capped at 40.

Oh well. Guess I'll take Thanksgiving off, like a normal person. :-)

From an email I just received:

U.S. delivery partners who earn 3,000 points and unlock Rewards Level 3 will receive three months of Prime. Delivery partners who earn 6,500 points and unlock Rewards Level 4 will receive six months of Prime. Only deliveries made between April 1 - June 30, 2023, will count towards this promotion.

More details are in the email.

So I go to pick up my route yesterday, and the warehouse manager says "Hold on a minute, we're still building one."

Then he rolls out a 8-package route to me.

They were all rescue packages near my house, from some other lazybones who didn't feel like delivering them.

They all had minor issues that I solved easily.

An hour later, I was done.

So newer drivers... decide whether you want to be the lazybones, or the one who's known for always delivering everything.

  1. ONLY call Support:

- To fix the GPS delivery location (usually quick, helps out everyone)

- If you have to stop delivering entirely (weather-related or other emergency)

- If you go over your route time by more than 30 minutes because of poor routing (inaccessible “roads”), too many packages, or other factors beyond your control

  1. Never spend more than 1 minute figuring out where a location is, or where to put a package.

- Newer drivers can stretch this time a bit, as they are figuring things out

- Experienced drivers, if you can't figure it out in 60 seconds, just deliver it anywhere. Worst case, toss the package out the window and hope for the best.

So you get to a location, but the map is wrong and you are outside the delivery zone.

One of the options the app gives you in the Help screen is to "drag the pin" to the correct location, but what does this mean exactly, and how do you do it?

Because I can't drag a damn thing on any map I can find.

A recent post hinted that it is possible but most people don't know how to do it.

So a friend just invited me onto Amazon Music, and the first thing I noticed is how prominently it displays a yellow "Dolby Atmos" logo for tracks mixed with it, and how many mainstream tracks are mixed with it.

I've been filing Atmos under the "vaguely interesting to look into someday" bin, but now I'm wondering if I'm falling behind the curve.

So... has anyone fully committed to Atmos, and why?

Sound quality?

Marketing?

Both?

Thanks!
