Sliiiide on 88A

Hi. I've worn down my 110mm 88A PS Spinner wheels that came as stock on my PS Nexts, and need to replace them. I like the wheels but can't find the same ones anywhere. Can anyone recommend some good alternatives? The 88A hardness suited me well, especially for trying to learn slides. Thanks πŸ‘

Undercover wheels are usually regarded as best, they have 110mm 88a.

I haven't found anything as all around usefull at reasonable cost as the hydrogen 110, but they are 85a. Still early days in the search for me tho.

Lately I have been trying new wheels in a "replacement rocker". Swapping in new wheels just in the middle, retiring the worst of the oldest in 2s based on the "wrong sort of carving knife" bevel criteria.

This is a chance to experiment with triskate rocker that is a bit more noticeable than natural rocker.

I find it makes dumping hill speed by slaloming much easier. Also tightens my turn radius in crossovers.

Also makes speed wobble easier to intiate, so like everything on skates, it's not always upside.

Thanks for the tips. And I agree, it's always a pay-off with wheel set-ups!

Check out Gyro wheels (proskatersplace.com has a pretty good selection) they have some 87a and 88a. I've seen Bill Stoppard give them good reviews and, based on the hub of the bigger ones, I suspect they might be the same manufacturer as Compass wheels.

Rollerblade Hydrogen are my favorite. A little costly but great wheels. The same goes for Undercover wheels, they also make a 110. Pretty sure they’re the same wheels.
