I find his ads as annoying as the Wall Drug ads in SD.
My mom said she saw Wall Drug signs in Vietnam when she was there in the 60s.
I believe there's one in Japan as well.
They were all over Afghanistan.
Wall Drug in 500 miles!
Seriously, I don't need to know before I am even across the border.
C'mon. That's part of the joke.
And if you've never been before or haven't heard of it, everyone is all but guaranteed to stop. "Ok, we've seen literally hundreds of these signs in the past 10 hours. We have GOT to stop and see what this is."
It's actually pretty brilliant. And most of those signs cost about ten bucks to make.
All I know is this:
Solely because of this campaign, I will never EVER do business with his company.
Yeah if anything this turned me off.
Never trust a man who believes in the "all pr is good pr" idea.
When someone stoops to being obnoxious to get their name out there, they have no floor.
I saw him putting up a for sale sign in a yard on my street. I dunno, the dude probably works his ass off. Doing the grunt work even...
The only thing that can redeem Lindahl is if he makes an imitation of the TSR time guy’s billboard
That would be the ultimate showdown
That dude has a weird look on his face; not quite a smirk, definitely not a smile - it's almost like the face you make when you're trying to see if you have dimples or something, weird.. I'm uncomfortable with it.
I live in Minnesota and I have no idea who that is.
If you're in the cities it's pretty much inescapable right now.
GUARANTEED OFFER!
My arms are this long!
You gotta leave mom's basement once in a while. /s
I know a great realtor!
At least he pays rent?
I live an hour south of the cities. He had two billboards right next to each other near the exit ramp for my town.
Interesting. I live in Rochester and I haven't noticed any, but that doesn't mean they aren't here.
Your spaces are probably more occupied by local businesses, and Kris's primary market is probably the Twin Cities and smaller towns around them, and Rochester may be later in the expansion plans.
I feel like this guy is the next Denny Hecker and the scheme will land him in a Minnesota prison eventually.
the running reddit gossip is he's blowing money on these billboards to keep his ex from getting it...
Who? Never heard of the guy.
Well, now you have. Your life is over
Think Shane Co, but on billboards.
I mean this seems more of a Twin Cities meme right?
Which are located in Minnesota

His signs make it pretty far outside of the Cities north on 35.
They have infiltrated the south as well. I travel for work and have noticed them creeping towards Iowa.

He definitely didnt pay for this to try and capitalize on his unpopularity
"SO BIG!"
Am I missing something? I've seen a few billboards but that's it.
Now that's just funny.
I don’t think it matters if it’s posted here or in r/twincities, it’s pretty funny!
I wish we could outlaw stupid billboards and just annoying billboards in general and make minnesota look beautiful
I'm a Minnesotan in exile, so I'm out of the loop. Is this the guy I saw on billboards all over the place in the Cities when I was visiting family the other week?
Why does everyone hate him so much?
Idea: Ban all billboards in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Side effect is also getting rid of all the remaining trashy billboard signs in the Twin Cities! Seriously, they do not add any benefit to our lives!

whatever you say chris
Fuk! Move on people! Focus your energy on real needed change, better roads, homelessness, hungry people. There are real problems out there! Grow up!
Do Minnesota’s out of the Twin Cities care? Or get the meme?
Yes, we care and yes we get it
And yes he must be stopped.
I wouldn't get it, if not for Reddit, but I live in SW MN. Not too much going on around here besides corn and beans.
he’s got an office in SE MN, or at least affiliates in the Rochester area.
Aw, cheer up guy. You have pipe stone too.
No
I live an hour or so west of the Cities and I want to say he has some billboards here as well...think so, anyway.
All of these jokes and faux outrage seem like they’re part of the campaign
They are 1,000% part of the campaign and he can go straight to hell
Honestly, I've been loving this. It just seems so funny how ubiquitous it's become that we're jokingly treating it like a real political movement
Marketing team certainly could be the ones posting to Reddit daily but then everyone gives him more free publicity by upvoting it and complaining.
Maybe he pay LynLake Brewery to put that sign up (the one shown in the photo).
I really debated whether to post this. I relate to hating the billboards, bus ads, and now airplane banners and yet here I am giving him more publicity.
I imagine he paid lynLake to put up the marques, then his pr team keep an eye on facebook, twitter, and reddit. If it doesn't pop into the local consciousness they probably give it a push.
What is reddit's obsession with pr teams? You think a regional realtor has an entire fuckin pr team at his disposal?
Possibly but I know him flying a banner over an outdoor concert this weekend got a lot of my friends to post about how even more absurd/inescapable the marketing has gotten.
I had no idea who he was until this post. I had to look him up.
I still don't know who he is, and I refuse to look him up.
I don’t know. I feel like even if we are posting about him, it’s in the form of public shaming him. Now my family and friends know I will give them an endless hard time if they ever do business with him. With enough social pressure like that, people won’t be caught dead dealing with that moron.
maybe people dont really care about you shaming them, you probably arent as big of a deal as you may believe yourself to be...
I was blissfully ignorant of all of this until this reddit post. That's on you
Not if you don’t need his product
I know the owner and the head brewer at LynLake, I doubt this was paid. They use that marquee for all sorts of silliness and shenanigans, and this is a great way to connect with fellow Minnesotans (and get themselves on reddit, city pages, etc).
I was kidding about the paid piece. Well aware of the LynLake folks and their sign.
