[PC][2000] Shovelware Tank RTS

Virtual War (WildTangent)

I'm having a nostalgia itch that I can't quite put my finger on... I think it was around 2000, but it might have been '01 or '02.

I remember it came with a small suite of games that were published by a third party and shoehorned into my family's old Windows installation. My favorite by far was an RTS game where you were in control of a small force of tanks, helicopters, etc. and had to clear a scenario of enemy armor. There were also limited-use airstrikes and stuff you could call. There were only 2 missions in the free tier, but they were quite a lot of fun to child-me.

I remember specifically controlling Abrahms (high-health) and Bradly tanks (slow, long-range missile attack), Apache gunships, and humvees with rocket launchers on the back. I think the enemies were various Russian tanks/helicopters

Searching around GoG and Steam I didn't see what I'm looking for... it's also entirely possible this game is lost to the ages if that 3rd party folded.

Anyone else remember something like this? If someone even remembered what shovelware publisher might have been around that time, that might give me a clue...

Thanks!

Can you remember what the game looked like? What was the camera perspective: Fixed Top down, free roaming 3D, fixed isometric from a slight angle? Were the graphics 3D rendered or 2D?

Have you tried browsing MobyGames based on categories?
