I'm a patient gamer, but I love DA and Mass Effect to an extent that I'm willing to make exceptions. I have not yet bought Veilguard, figuring that I'd give it at least a week or two to see if there was a disaster.

And it certainly sounds a little disasterous from some outlets, reviewers, and people's opinions. But I've been around a minute, and I gotta say, this is a wildly different vibe compared to Mass Effect Andromeda's launch.

ME:A had rough performance problems on day 1, faced similar criticisms as DAV in terms of dialogue and companions not living up to old expectations, and clear signs of rushed, cut corners. To this day, there are still glaring flaws like how all the Asari

After years of seeing all the "survival mode is the true FO4 experience" posts, I'm finally gonna bone up and give it a go myself. Are there any mods that really shine there? I'm on PC so anything goes. I usually just use FallUI, True Storms, and some other general ambience improving mods.

I'm running through the game on gamepass - don't really foresee grinding or getting seriously into things, but want to give a shake through all the non-repeating story and intro content. For quests such as Vault Discovery ("Scour War Zones for cache locations"), is that something I'd need to do while just running any ol' mission while in the Avengers Initiative operation? I've definitely done several SHIELD vaults just as part of campaign content but they clearly haven't been counting, and I thought I'd ask in case I'm barking up the wrong tree entirely

This PC has never had VMWare installed. I've had Hyper-V installed, and have tried uninstalling it. I've generally tried killing every other process while trying rejoin killed games, and down to a browser, Discord, and PUBG. Battleye still claims no bueno. Is there any secret process that Battleeye goes after or anything else that might be erroneously tripping it?

This sub is plastered in pro-Bernie content (which is cool, he's my pick too), and then topped off with a sprinkle of Warren-bashing (which is not cool).

The absolute worst case scenario for this election would be a repeat of 2016.... so why do people think it's a good idea to spend such a huge chunk of their effort shitting on a historically solid second-choice candidate?

Have y'all learned nothing?

[PC][2000] Shovelware Tank RTS

Virtual War (WildTangent)

I'm having a nostalgia itch that I can't quite put my finger on... I think it was around 2000, but it might have been '01 or '02.

I remember it came with a small suite of games that were published by a third party and shoehorned into my family's old Windows installation. My favorite by far was an RTS game where you were in control of a small force of tanks, helicopters, etc. and had to clear a scenario of enemy armor. There were also limited-use airstrikes and stuff you could call. There were only 2 missions in the free tier, but they were quite a lot of fun to child-me.

I remember specifically controlling Abrahms (high-health) and Bradly tanks (slow, long-range missile attack), Apache g

Searching around GoG and Steam I didn't see what I'm looking for... it's also entirely possible this game is lost to the ages if that 3rd party folded.

Anyone else remember something l

This seems like a larger structural problem in cloudformation which maybe doesn't have an answer, but I thought I'd check and see if anyone's found a better way to do this.

As a simple example, consider a template with a load balancer that has a target group with two EC2 instances behind it. Now, let's say I only want two instances sometimes, so I put a Conditional on one instance.

The rub is that now I need to copy-paste the entire chain of load balancer resources and tweak the copy to only have one backend. Then I have to apply conditionals to both sets of load balancer config so that only one set gets created.

This is a ton of copy-pasted code and it's really bad for reliability.
