Ah yes the admin gold standard.
Call it a triple threat of adminning.
-
Not understanding their own servers rules or history of (for the sake of relevance, the mess of rules on Hippie were streamlined around the middle of the year to trim the fat leaving only relevant rules) to the point of being unable to cite any relevant rule which is still applicable today that a player is beholden to. The result? Admemes misstating old and removed rules.
-
Not understanding the mechanics of the game- silicon laws. Everyone in any server (not even just Hippie) by now knows what asimov lawset and how much of a shitshow it is because of how it can be interpreted/abused and here, the admins are deliberately ignoring the clear wording of asimov as an "unusual intepretation" when its more unusual; to only have the magic moment of harm being the exact moment of it and having to release people/let them roam free without any control of after the fact the harm is committed.
-
When all else fails, revert to the good old subjective "rule one" and belittle a player who was already adhering to the rules (because they can't ban the player for any specific broken rule which has repeatedly been requested for) and refuse to acknowledge every single point while deliberately dodging them for the benefit of their own narrative.
Bonus point here that Steamport/Amari Ray is a known staticnamer science/RD player, the same with SerMagma/Bungo. Anyone who has played enough in that position should have known how to exercise due diligence to ensure they aren't screwed over by the incoming retribution but after getting dunked decided to use admins as a crutch for the IC issue they lost out on instead. Obviously there is one glaring metagame issue here to protect their own buddies/the interests of their own playstyle but no one is going to acknowledge it either because that will put the admins in a bad light as usual. Lol.

God-tier rules-lawyering. Stay mad.
Nah man, the rules and asimov lawset to be interpreted is pretty straightforward. Human harm.
Now the true mental gymnastics to rule lawyer asimov comes from pretty much every irrelevant thing to the rules and the lawset including;
"Forgetting past lives" which isn't even a thing anywhere in the rules or lawset and certainly doesn't make any practical sense.
"Harm is only valid at the point of harm being committed and after it is said and done there is no longer such a thing as the harm ever being committed"
Or my favorite "you're a clock cultist" which seems to ignore the fact that a clock cultist is still human under asimov unless specifically redesignated.
There's also the whole "but he borged you so you get to stay in the round" while completely ignoring that he didn't practice the due diligence of confirming what my laws are in the first place.
You're missing the important point:
Ultimately, if the admins decide that you are an undesirable player they have every right to remove you from their community. Argue about it all you want, it won't change the fact that they might just simply not want you on their server.
Instead of doing everything you can to prove why you technically weren't in the wrong and trying to stir up all this drama, maybe just accept their judgement. You're definitely going about this the wrong way if your goal is to get unbanned.
This is true but I don't like it
Honestly im surprised they just didnt bap them harder for going to actually rage on reddit after doing so in the forums. But yea, if people go as far as to try to incite drama and bring hate to the admins on the server they play over a week ban, no less, i think thats where the line is drawn for rule 1 shittery to be perma-worthy.
Actually I'm at the point of not caring about getting unbanned any longer as the mental maturity and seriousness of the responsibilities inherent to the admins, which is to say none at all, has proven to be an exercise of futility.
Refer to previous exhibit of admins again deliberately ignoring and/or misinterpreting rules for their own agenda/benefit
At which point is much more fun to try and get some imaginary internet points for the price of the seven day ban as well as some satisfaction of revealing the ever increasing incompetence of the admins.
Well as far as the important point to me as a player is, when I join a server I agree to comply with the rules. In that same vein I expect to be able to play without any interruptions or to not be summarily dicked over despite what the rules say. Which is of course what happened here.
I think the basic decency people should be able to expect from admins is to perform their responsibilities within the confines of the rules but I guess that is too much to expect from manchilds who need to admin a 2d spaceman game for their powertrips they lack irl.
Removing players from communities because you dislike them and disagree with them is how you get hugboxes like citadel
You say that like this guy simply chose pro-skub on an anti-skub server.
He's been a problem on hippie from a while, based on my interactions with some of the hippie admins. And instead of accepting punishments and learning from them, he continues denying any wrongdoing via absurd amounts of rules-lawyering.
Even if he can spin it in a convoluted way that makes him technically absolved of any wrongdoing, there's still a clear problem that the admins are justified in taking action against.
Doing actions based on past lives is meta gaming and that is forbidden in the rules
