Decided to draw the three jobs I enjoy the best!

Still very fond of the SB AF sets, prefer them much more over the ShB, for now at least.
Not including DRK which is my fave tank but really, who wants to draw all that armor on a teeny tiny body.

I dunno bagpipeharpbow is pretty rad at least, lol. I do love bard’s ShB set though. The highland vibes make me so happy.

Bard's new AF is certainly the best of the bunch, and the shorts would have been the perfect glam default if not for those not-really-part-of-the-shoe legging?socks? things. Really not a fan of their fixation of making long boots a weird mix of two separate pieces instead of one.

Yeah, I main SCH and they’ve been doing that there too. I’m hoping it will look better when we can finally dye it.
1
After the little care they put into AF4 dye channels I'm honestly not expecting good results. Very glad that at least I can color the stuff how I want myself outside the game if it comes to that xP
1
I’m sorry, what is AF? Is it the class gear you get at 50/60/70/80?
1
Yes exactly those! It's a shortcut for ArtiFact gear, and usually followed by a number i.e. AF2 is the lv 50 Job gear from 2.0/ARR.
2
Sams ShB is my fave AF set, but otherwise i agree with you.
4
I didn't have a chance to see it in game but I really liked the concept art. Should probably look it up.
2
Are you me? BRD, AST, RDM, DRK are the exact four jobs I leveled first and used to complete ShB job quests.
2
These are fucking adorable. Do you take commissions?
13
Sure, can have a crack at it. Send me a DM!

Bard and Astrologist are my favorite jobs too! I had not the chance to play red mage yet, but i'm looking forward to it *-*
Love your artwork, very cute and expressive <3
12
Bard and Red Mage are my favorites, so now I'm wondering if I should take up Astrologian!
6
I’ve tried astro leveling in potd, initially i thought i’d be weaving cards to boost certain abilities and adapt my game style based on which card i drew. but i was disappointed all those cards did was boost damage by 6% for 8 seconds. :(

Rest in in peace old astro

Haven't played AST since early storm blood a just learned of the change right now. I am genuinely upset by this...
5
They used to give different things before Shadowbringers, the change was somewhat controversial.
5
Picked up AST last night... had exactly the same let down :( I feel your pain.
4
IKR? I'm also a returner player and felt hard that change. I loved the old Ast, but I still love the new one. But, yes, the old gameplay was funnier and smarter. Now it's just some little buffs =(
1
God I love bard. I left the game in Heavensward a few years ago and got burned out as a black mage. Started from scratch with a new account recently and just got as far as stormblood and this job feels like such a natural fit. I absolutely adore it.
3
Who in their right mind gets burned out on FFVIV and says to themselves "Yeah let's redo ARR."
2
Haha, me I guess.
It's been so long since I played, a lot of the story had gone out of my head and I wanted to run through all 4 major acts in one continuous experience.
Also, this time I've mainly played on PC (as opposed to PS4 before) and perhaps there have been some tweaks to the leveling process as I powered through ARR a lot quicker this time even watching all the cutscenes and reading quest text.
3
This is what I love about this game the most. There's no universal "No one plays this class" job. As an example, those are roughly my least 3 favorite, maybe replacing Sch for AST. But you get the point. Love that you love them!
10
Right? Even "non-meta" jobs have a huge pool of people that love that job identity.
9
These are the exact same as my 3 favourites c:
6
Same!

That AST is very pretty. Maybe not adorable/cute, but definitely pretty.
Do you have a social media/etc. where you post art like this? IE: Twitter, DeviantART, pixiv, etc.
3
Glad you like it!
I have only recently started posting art after a long break, but you can find some of my stuff here - https://crys-sketchblog.tumblr.com/ - nothing ffxiv related yet though, but hopefully soon.

My tumblr was part of the NSFW purge so /shrug

Praise AST

I always recommend people with your talent create a graphic novel. I think they are in right now. You would get to work with a traditional publisher and avoid Disney or the Comic Industry.
2
That Red Mage is even more stylish than normal!
2
I wanna play AST so bad!!! I'm currently maining WHM through low level stuff, but I really wanna pick up AST as soon as I can!! And this artwork makes me want it even more 😂😂

♫ And the three jobs I admire most,
The mage, the seer, and the party host,
They took the last queue in riposte,
And yelled "Who needs a tank?" ♫
