Hey, that's terrorism.

No, since it was done by a republican its called a "lone wolf" incident

Ghstfce:flag-pa: Pennsylvania•

So how many lone wolves do we need before they become a pack of domestic terrorists?

Well, I mean, they're white so... the limit doesn't exist?

“Mental Lone Wolf Patient That Needs Therapy, Whatabout The Terrorist Bernie Shooter” is the proper nomenclature.

You're right, I totally messed up

This was an act of direct election interference and political terrorism. He committed this to stop people from casting their votes.

47
feedmefries:flag-ca: California•

Also, importantly, he succeeded.

Dude cast his own vote, then wrecked the voting location and they closed it!

dismayedcitizen•

One party is encouraging everyone to vote, and the other party absolutely hates the idea of everyone voting and will do anything to interfere with and prevent it. One wonders which is behind this...

The man was taken in custody and transported to a hospital for evaluation, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. There were no injuries.

sadly, it's probably dementia. people with dementia sometimes get angry when they make a mistake and don't immediately know how to react. they start acting totally irrationally until they get calmed down and "reset".

This is just the primary. How insane could this get during the general.

7
Notarussianbot2020•

Trump could easily call in the national guard to 10 poll sites in Milwaukee, Phoenix, and Miami Dade. He wouldn't even need to make up a reason as he would get to keep the presidency.

alexbgoode84:flag-md: Maryland•

This is terrifying.

Yep!

God fucking dammit.

What was his goal? I mean can't these people just go vote somewhere else now?

4

You would think so, but unfortunately certain people and political parties in the US make it difficult for certain people to vote - and that's when people aren't crashing cars into polling stations.

A situation like this is probably a nightmare for these voters, especially if they're in an area where only one polling station was available.

A lot of the time the answer is no

Am Canadian, and it would be so here. Genuinely curious how that works down there.

I’ve only voted in New York, but here we are assigned to a specific site.

2
PortLionsKodiak:flag-ak: Alaska•

I'm American and so am I. I've done an absentee ballot twice because I was in the Marines and deployed for two elections, so that's not the typical way of doing it. This one I'm doing a mail in because I'll be fishing during most of this and I live in rural Alaska. I've never actually gone to a polling station and voted.

The real question is how preventing people from voting in a primary is going to serve his own political goals. The only thing that can change is whether one guy or another becomes the Democratic nominee. I would’ve expected him to think he was helping the weaker candidate to get elected. Unless he just wants others to copycat him in the general; or he’s just deranged and wants to show people he’s upset.

Probably the last one.
