Unemployment, PPP, EIDL, etc for 4/20/2020
Thanks for the gold!!! I'll be matching the cost of that, rounded up to $10, to a donation to TeenFeed, a nonprofit in the u-district that helps homeless teens in the U-District get food, clothing, medical help and prevention from getting COVID-19.

So....how's it going?
I create these daily threads to create a space for anyone in WA - SMBs or unemployed - struggling financially due to the coronavirus to come together and chat, help, ask for help or just vent.
Here's a bunch of FAQs from previous posts about unemployment. They might bring you to a previous day, please try to post here, though!
- Don't know if you need to file for a PUA claim? Check these checklists. If you already applied and the top checklist applies to you, you DO NOT. If the bottom checklist applies to you, then yes, apply for one.
- Can I call about this on Sunday? (Yes) (Update: Maybe wait until Monday, see above)
- What is PUA/PEUC?
- Do I get extra benefits with this if I already ran out? (Yes, probably, but still maybe)
- When will I see my $600 federal "bonus"? (Also: Am I eligible for the $600 extra each week?)
- Do I still need to look for work? (no) - you can say no in your weekly claims
- How do I know if there is something wrong with my claim ("issues") / if I need a decision?
- Filing a claim based on WORK vs INCOME - what to do
- When am I getting my $600 bonus?
- What documents do I need to apply on April 18th or after? (and part 2 of answer - more details)
- How will my new claim be processed?
- What if I almost had 680 hours to qualify for UI? (Appealing for alternate base year)
- How are my hours calculated?
- If I'm still working can I receive any benefits?
- What are training benefits and why can't I get the $600 fed bonus with them?
- Do I get the extended benefits if I ran out of UI in 2019?
- Will I EVER get to talk to someone about my claim? (update on new phone lines)
- Can I get the $600 bonus if I am on a shared work program?
- I moved to WA last year after working in another state and am now unemployed. How do I file a claim? (and part 2 of answer)
I'll try to update these questions if more NEW questions are added BUT PLEASE TRY TO READ THESE FIRST.
THERE IS A VERY KIND, HELPFUL PERSON FROM ESD - u/PENNYPEDRO - WHO IS ANSWERING A LOT OF UNEMPLOYMENT QUESTIONS. Tag her if you have a specific question!
Help each other as well, if you can, but please chime in if you need help about UI, PUA, PUEC, PPP, EIDL, or any other acronym you want to talk about.
