I have never heard Teller speak before... I kinda knew he did speak but I was never sure lol
I saw them live last year in vegas and both Penn and Teller came out to give autographs and photos. I kid you not that Teller talked to us way more than Penn did.

Have a look up of "Penn and Tellers magic and mystery tour".?? I think that's what it was called. You'll like it, episodes can be found on YouTube.
Teller talks throughout it. He stopped talking as it was easier for him and his performances and he didn't have to deal with hecklers early on.
oh cool it's on Amazon Prime actually, thanks I'll check it out
I thought the same until he guest starred on the Big Bang Theory and was like whaaat lol
This is actually his stunt double in the video
this makes so much more sense, thank you!
I always love hearing Teller talk, not just because of his silent act, but because he is always so kind, friendly, and uplifting when he speaks. Seriously If you ever get to see Penn and Teller Live, go talk to Teller after the crowd dies down (or gathers around Penn). Its really the perfect way to end one of their shows, hanging out for an hour or two after the show just talking with him.
I liked the trick but I thought the frame part seemed tacked on. Maybe he needs time to generate/get the photo made. But could I do this? HELL NO
The frame part was the trick, the rest of the routine was the dressing.
Explain.
All the other elements, such as the remove the photobomber or change his hair are done using some fairly standard card palming techniques. Don't get me wrong, he did a good job with them (he had one bit of flash in the video which I would attribute to nerves), but they are basic moves that P&T certainly know. The final photo is also doable several ways, the most likely being that it was pre-made and revealed through card manipulation.
The novel part of his trick is combining a "Torn and Restored" effect with a levitating card effect. Doing either of those effects alone is pretty straightforward, but doing them together is something extra and the frame is a necessary component of that. The other smaller tricks were there to build the story of his moment in time routine and add to the overall theatrics of it.
Thank you very much for taking the time to explain this to me I really appreciate it.

I consider it absolutely to be part of the overall routine, and as the "hook" it is genius. But I'm pretty sure he could have as easily done the mechanical elements of the routine with a normal deck of cards. The photos gave it the artistry for sure, but I don't think they were hard part of the trick.
He's _talking_!
Great video.
