Don't get your hopes up. My first was born early AM on Fathers day 8 years ago. She didn't get me shit and I've never let her forget it.

They seem to be common in every obstetrics ward in every hospital. when i had my clinical placement in an ob ward, we used those blankets, and all my classmates used them in the hospitals they had to go to. And I've seen them in almost every photo of a newborn that I have ever seen.

It looks like it. Her grandma said that she just got rid of two blankets like that. So at least the ATL and ATX use them.

Yes, everywhere for decades at least. I have a picture of me in one and my 17 month old daughter was wrapped in one when she was born.
