We’ve seen this before when foreign heads of state stay at the Willard but only people like Netenyahu get this kind of security.
Anyone know who’s in town and why?

security is dispatched by level of threat assessed by the guys here. the biggest motorcade I've seen in the United States was Putin's in NY and King Salman in DC. I think I've seen Netanyahu's and it's decently above average, but nothing extreme.

In I think 2013 the Iraq delegation were staying at the Willard when a bomb threat came in. We were evacuated and when we got outside was the first time I saw the Isis flag. Some lady was running by with it and we were like “what dies that mean?” We learned soon enough.

Commercially available flight tracking app would suggest a member of Iraqi parliament/head of state possibly.

Don't know where he's staying, but the Iraqi PM is in town.
