Very well done! I love how direct and to the point the piece is. It really captures the shock that can accompany such a diagnosis. The simple language and short phrases really help the piece flow and also give it a sense of "it is what it is" that is highlighted by the statement in the final four lines. The title is the perfect amount of irony as well. A really nice piece overall!

I love the first stanza. It’s complexing and subtle.

Assuming that the poem explains the thoughts, this might be better summarised as a haiku?

Here me out. “Doctor said it was nothing”; “little marble of fluid”

This is about brain cancer, no?

Perhaps a few more lines to summarise the thought

I love how this poem is realistic and clearly deals with a trauma. However, looking at it more abstractly, it's like someone injected a poison into your head without your knowledge. I also love the visual of this line, "Little marble of fluid".

you captured the feeling of dread or fear when you realize a part of yourself, whether it's ill, vicious, sickly, or toxic.

i think the work could benefit, though, if you moved some lines around. "doctor said the little marble of fluid was unrelated to the crash nothing to worry about" for instance. because the 2nd line is jarring by itself. i also think "dangerous" can be switched with something else. there are definitely stronger options, but don't be too melodramatic and use "terrifying" or something, as that's overkill and doesn't capture the quietness of it.

Doctor said it was nothing

To worry about

Little marble of fluid

Unrelated to the crash

The part of my brain

That isn’t brain

How dangerous

To look inside ourselves

And find something

We didn’t know was there
