I really enjoyed this. It shows real compassion and love for a part of nature that most take for granted. Most consider plants to barely be a life worth considering. Beyond just flowers, this poem says a lot about humanity. We pointlessly destroy so much life for no other reason than decor, or entertainment. We care so little for things that are so beautiful. Trees, flowers, mountains, rivers, oceans. It is sad.

This is a really lovely piece, thank you for sharing your art.

Thank you so so much! I agree with everything you stated here.

This is really nice for a first poem!

It is quite touching because of your use of a first-person narrator, which makes the whole poem feel like a direct question.

I also like the fact that it leads the reader to question the way they treat nature, and how the way you describe our disregard of flowers echoes with the way we keep polluting rivers and cutting down forests. Keep writing pieces that can be read on several levels, like this, that's what makes the difference between a good piece and a great piece!

Well done on your first poem. I think emotionally it's strong and your intent is very clear. I found it a bit too obvious for my tastes in that I wonder if you can make the point you want to make without saying it so directly. Perhaps it lacks a little subtlety but overall a good first attempt.

Yeah because it’s my first it was a spontaneous piece. I just felt like it and wrote it. would definitely put in more thought and rewrite! Thank you for your response ❤️

ahh! i like this very much, it’s very nice and i must say, good job on your first poem! i like the demanding tone of the poem that really questions and appeals to the reader, and the tone is quite strong and nice. if i were you, i’d join/break the first ten or so lines to maintain syllable count, but that’s just me..

overall, this is well-written with a nice strong tone and good job! hoping to see more great pieces from you☺️

its very good for a first timer...it's simplicity and the the flow is the best part of it... moreover the showing the flowers in a different light is brilliant...

i love how you used repetitive language but was creative with the repetition. made the point clear but not annoying. good job

I love the way you composed the poem. The way you described the act of plucking flowers from a plant. It really brings out the nature of hypocrisy of people, because they kill a living plant to honour the dead.

The way you wrote this poem was amazing and I personally love how you repeated, "What a tragedy" in the last two lines, just to make it clear that humans are so cruel and need to be reminded of this fact, but I could just be overthinking that.

Awesome poem, keep going.

I did enjoy reading this. I’m not sure whether to feel more empathy towards flowers not or not. You took the flowers side which I have never seen done before. I love how to make the connection between weddings and flowers. Something so beautiful being celebrated by using a dead thing. Keep up the good work.

Ah! What awonderful first poem.. Although it is simple and short, it gets across the message it wants to convey beautifully. And as for the topic you have put into light through this poem, it indeed is a thought provoking one. Humans snatch away so many of nature's wonderful gifts to immerse in just a moment of joy or sorrow, when that something, when left alone could live through its few days of bloom beautifully. Sometimes for a moment like this we destroy someone or something's lifetime. Take those people who enjoy collecting animal fur and leather as an example, when they buy such things it would indeed give them joy and a moment of pride. And yet how long would that last- a day, a month or a year. When instead if these wonderful animals were left alone, they could prosper; contribute to the ecosystem in their own ways for an entire lifetime, that to us humans may not seem significantly huge, but is important nonetheless.

THIS. JUST THIS. That’s exactly what I wished to convey and kind of start a thought process!

this is really beautiful. You have a great way with word and are able to keep it compact whereas the meanings behind it are vast. It shows your compassion and your understanding of the world and its idiocy which is just extremely beautiful.

This was very sweet and beautiful. If this is what you can do with your first, keep going! You can only get better for here.

I hope you enjoy writing. Flowers are always a fun this to write about. :)

I really connected with this poem as i've felt the same way before; understanding that all forms of life are worth something really strike a bigger ethical message too.

I have felt this way for very long and at 17 I wanted to pen all these feelings down! I really believe in making change through the use of art. Poetry is my form of expression ☺️

I think, flowers are lucky, As they give the company to lifeless, resembles the love of their close ones And the praises on the wedding day too.

I wish i could be flower, so that i can share the sorrow of people who are in pain and happiness of people on their worthy moments. They give all they had to carry emotions just like letters., Or the letter to swargas.

I think they must be grateful to parmatma, that they are flowers. And i will be too if get the chance to be like them

We all must be flower to someones life To be the fragrance of their lifes

Indeed this poem is nice. It reads to me like a song and has power in it. It has a purpose and from my own writing I know that that is not easy to do. It's a nice first poem as it draws a connection between something beautiful and something that needs to change. Nice!

I think you did a great job! My favorite surprise was in the middle where you started a rhyme scheme which didn’t interrupt the flow or sound forced as well. Keep it up!

Absolutely beautiful poem, it makes one think of all the things we take for granted. My dog was going to be put down before we adopted him, simply because of the number of times he was returned. The number of things we kill so we can have entertainment is truly astonishing and saddens me.

Awww give your dog a hug 🤗

For a first-ever, this is sublime. Congratulations.

It really struck up a memory of mine. Going to visit my Nan's grave and after paying my respects, looking at all of the botanical death that kept the graves company.

Also like the pace, how at first you sound as though you are really comprehending the pain but as it builds, its overbearing momentum moves you to a staccato flow.
