Anyone know of any successful rebuild projects with a 2017+ from a salvage auction?
Curious how much of the IC Golfs or GTIs exterior would fit onto an e-Golf of the same generation...
I have wild dreams of putting together a 2017+ GTe-Golf 🥰 (or just a regular Golf to keep the cost low) how feasible would that be?

Floor of the e-Golf is different than other models. So you’d need to start with the e-Golf body shell.
I'm no expert but AFAIK the exteriors are completely compatible.
e-Golf floors and seats are different to make room for batteries. On the body exterior the rear diffuser and front grill different. I would not mix and match electrical modules/components. Even to change a module of the same part number but different revision might not work until an software update is applied. Swapping Halogen for LED lamps coding needs to be done. For a nearly trouble free install I would use all the electrical including wiring harness from the same donor car. Good Luck, Yes this a lot to take on.
The real dream would be to have an e-Golf Alltrack (wagon).
