Hi, I'm trying to find out about the camera quality on the Spectre 14 but can't find any reviews on it. It's it any good? How does it stack up against the to ZenBook Flip UX363E?
I really want a decent camera for zoom calls, do any other laptops stand out in this area?

Thanks, that actually looks surprisingly decent! I wasn't expecting it to be that good after the other person's comment.
It's ok, almost all laptop cameras are 720p ones like this one has. People expect cellphone quality selfies out of it and get upset
I'd assume it's the same as the other Spectres, if you can find reviews of those.
If you want a laptop with a good camera and it has to be windows then get the surface line. IIRC they actually have 1080p cameras. I have an old 2017/6 surface book that looks better than my 2019 spectre 15 and my spectre 14. Although the surface line is significantly worse for long term usage since it's extremely hard to open it up and reset the cooling setup (my surface book thermal throttles itself off using zoom).
The spectre 14 camera is meh and you probably won't get better unless you get a surface product. I'd recommend just buying a decent webcam and keeping it for the rest of your life.
This is my 2nd HP x360 14...the camera quality is horrible. I have a 7 year old Asus with a 720p camera and it is much better.
It's a 720p Web cam. AMD tech reviews showed the camera on his channel so you might wanna take a look there.
It is okay quality, but when you factor in that there are selfie cameras with 40mp, it's abysmal (like any other laptop webcam).
I don’t think it really needs more than about 5-7 mp - but it needs good low light sensitivity and it needs the processing that front facing cams have on phones. I have a surface go, and it basically earns its keep because it has an excellent for a laptop 5mp cam. But it could be even better. After a year of pandemic life it should be a priority.
Thanks. My reference for a decent laptop webcam is the MacBook Pro, I'm guessing from your comment it's nowhere near that quality!
It actually ist near that quality. I am just pointing out that the industry "standard" aka "Webcam should be around this good" is an absolute joke for 2021 ;)
Ah cool. MBP level is adequate for me. Just want to be able to zoom clearly with my dim lighting.
It's really weird that they aren't better given where smartphones are. In 2019 I could kind of understand... But after 2020?!
