That was precisely my course of action.

Good man...

You did a good thing today. I'm proud of you.

1
penis_thief•

BY SHIT S/HE MEANS TEA.

3
burning_witch•

That's what I would do. If you are extremely worried about stuff that has been on the carpet before just leave the bottom layer and throw that out!

Adds flavor.

I feel bad for upvoting this. It feels like I'm giving a thumbs up to a terrible thing.

Anyway, my condolences on your loss.

I love that you had it within you to think "Shit, I better post this to reddit before cleaning it up"

On my flight home from china a few years ago a tin of jasmine green tea smashed open inside my luggage and spilled out into all of my clothes. I smelled awesome for months, and I'm still finding little leaves inside that suitcase.

So sad. internet hugs

ziegfried•

Haha -- how about a tin of matcha spilling open inside your backpack while traveling?

Everything was green for a while until I got that all cleaned out.

ANOTHER PERSON WHO BOUGHT TEA IN CHINA ONLY TO HAVE IT SPILL OUT IN AN INCONVENIENT PLACE?

  • SUPER HUG * I KNOW THAT FEELING ALL TOO WELL

I always wonder about this widespread urge to take out a camera when something unpleasant happens.

If you hadn't taken the picture maybe you could have saved it with the 5 second rule. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five-second_rule

3
AltacoOP•

I may or may not have scooped a good portion of it back up... :3

10
jesusapproves•

I would have gotten it all.

There are not enough D: emoticons in the world to express the D: I am feeling right now

Upton is awesome. Somebody email them a link, if they see this they may replace it. They have the best customer service of any company I've ever dealt with.

2
AltacoOP•

Nah, as I mentioned above, I managed to recover the majority of it.

They are fantastic though.

3
DasHuhn•

To recover even more of it:

Vacuum cleaner + Coffee filter + hose attachment. Put coffee filter over vacuum cleaner hose attachment, turn vacuum on. the tea gets caught in the filter, you recover even more of it!

BaumFrosch•

I've just had to sit down... I feel quite faint.

2
frostek•

You'd better have a cuppa to calm your nerves.

2
BaumFrosch•

I think I shall, I just need to stop hyperventilating.

Is there no justice?

We're dealing with a sick S.O.B. here. Cordon off this crime scene and get forensics in here right away. We have to catch this guy before he kills again.

motophiliac•

STOP! Don't worry. Be calm. Put the kettle, er, oh, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
