Dear Someone

There are a thousand things

I want to ask you

but I won't.

I will wait

and hope

that a time will come

for each and every one.

The structure of this poem fits what is being said. You express the feeling of holding back, biding your time, and that is reflected especially well with this excerpt:

I will wait

and hope

that a time will come

for each and every one.

Thank you for sharing, it was a good read!

I seem to have great timing lol, I’m always the first one to find your poem, and this one’s only a few minutes old. To me, this reads like the narrator really wants to truly get to know the subject of the letter. You said you have “a thousands questions” but also that you’ll “wait and hope” that there will be time for each one, meaning to me, that you really care, and are willing to take the time.

I like the use of formatting here. Putting the last line on its own helps to convey the sense of isolation felt by the narrator, as well as the distance between them and the person that they desire. It makes me wonder how the poem would look on a printed page, what kind of distance you would place between the lines, etc. I think you manage to put a lot of emotion into a very short piece, so good job for that!

Beautiful poem. The words are simple and tender. I love how the narrator is showing patience and care to the poem's subject. I think it is a positive message for too often we want everything all at once, when really we should learn when it's best to sit back and let things unfold organically.

I like the title and how it's written in the style of a letter. It has a very sincere feeling. And similar to what others have said, the formatting with the large gaps helps to carry the idea that the narrator is taking their time and perhaps giving the other person some space. I liked the lil near-rhyme at the end too with "come" & "one".

Excellent use of a format poem, this sad and somehow hopeful idea just fit perfectly into this type of poem. It just leaves so much room for the reader to interpret a meaning and an emotion. I can honestly see it going either way.

The only critique I could have is that the last line is the line that should drive the meaning home; it should really be fleshed out the most of all the lines in this instead of being slightly ambiguous

This is sad, supposedly, but it leaves a mark. Stays true to its context, well done man!

Feels sad. To me this one represents when there is unrequited affection. When there is a lot you want to know about that person but he/she are not interested in you so they wont share anything (and that is the reason you dont ask). Although it is just my own personal opinion :/ This poems has this ,,lingering" feeling for me.
