Looking for input on tires

Since most people here are using old 26ers, I thought some people could help out with some input on 26" tires for commuting and light gravel.

Right now I have a bike with 26x2.2 Halo Twin Rails, another with 26x2.1 Maxxis DTH's and another with 26x2.35 Big Apples. I find that the big apples are really slow feeling unless you pump up the air pressure a ton, then they aren't comfortable anyways. They also barely clear my fenders. So I'm looking to see if anyone can recommend other 26x2.0-2.25 tires that are pretty fast on roads and paths. I like my DTH's so I might just get another set, but are Gravelking SK's pretty good too? Any other good options?

Conti Contact Speed 26x2 aka. the Basketball tyre are budget-friendly and okay. I've ridden the 29er version through pretty rough gravel and they've held up.

Maxxis Detonator 26x1.5, if you're mostly riding on the road. My go-to commuter tyres.

They've brought back the Michelin Country Rock, as well as Ritchey Speedmax and Tom Slick (if they were ever gone), which I've ridden twenty years ago.

Just roads and paved paths? WTB thickslicks will treat you well and they’re 26x2.0”. I ran them for almost a year (with zero flats on the regular casing btw) and my wife is riding them now and loves them

I have a bike with Maxxis DTH, and one with Maxxis Pace. Both are 2.1". I can't decide which tires I prefer.
