The Witch's Curse: A Tale of Two Heroes, Corrupted

The worst part about it was that it happened just when things had really started getting good for us both - after all, we'd just started to develop some level of fame after we dealt with the vampire that had been plaguing the village of Newtsbridge and managed to parlay that band of nomadic marauders into moving back eastwards without pillaging the local towns and farms on the way. We were finally starting to really become heroes - people that those in need sought out and called for when times were at their toughest, symbols of what people with enough will to do good could amount to.

And, well, things had started to develop in private, too. We'd finally made love with one another, explored the pleasures of the flesh in one another's arms after a stressful few days out exploring a cave system full of vicious spiders.

But then we'd gone after her, an infamous witch who'd been forced from her tower by a famous band of Paladins, driven to hide in a cave, her magical equipment burnt upon the holy flame. We thought we could finish the job, end her reign of terror while she was still weak.

And we did. But we were wrong about her still being weak. With her last breaths, even as her lifeblood spilled out onto the ground, she cursed us in the fell tongue of the demons, a bitter evil sound it hurt my very soul to hear.

Since then, these past three days... things have started to become different. I'm changing, becoming weaker, shorter, less masculine... while you, you've started to take charge in a way I'd never seen before. It scares me, and I can only hope we can find the cure before it's too late.

Two adventurers find themselves cursed by a fell witch's dying breath - who are these two? Local youths? Travelling friends? Too-close Siblings? Gallivanting Nobles? Will they embrace the curse and make something of it, or fight it til the bitter end?
