One account I read told of a woman who was interred for many months, and spoke of how they'd be subjected to indoctrination and pro-CCP classes and 'history lessons', even after the women would become so confused and mentally worn down after day after day of this. In this state where they would agree to anything, even doing such things as "converting" to be pro China, these classes would still continue.
So most likely there treatment wouldn't improve, it would continue as to ensure there continued 'loyalty', as well as a means to keep them controlled.
