Can I power a UAP-AC-PRO from a EdgeRouter X or an EdgeSwitch 10X?

Question

Can I power a UAP-AC-PRO from a EdgeRouter X or an EdgeSwitch 10X? The ES10X is NOT a ES10XP.
What most confuses me, is I can't tell if the ERX or ES10X can supply PoE if they're powered from a wall adapter, or if they can only pass it through, if they also are powered using PoE.

The UAP-AC-PRO claims it can run off 802.3af PoE 802.3at PoE+. I think that means either of those will work?

No. The PoE from the edge routers is not compatible. It’s passive 24v.

In answer to the question in the subject: nope.

The UAP-AC-Lite, UAP-AC-LR and the UAP-AC-M will run from either of those devices as they’re all 24V Passive PoE friendly.

If you already have the UAP-AC-Pro, see if you can find an ERPoE-5. I run a UAP-AC-Pro from one happily - the port needs to be set to 48V passive and the AP will power up.

I'm not sure for the AC Pro, but I was able to power an AC Lite from my ER-X via passthrough PoE. If you power the ER-X via wall adapter directly, passthrough PoE won't work.
