This is just shortly after a recent 1k XMR donation: https://reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/n22py2/large_donation_1020_xmr_to_the_general_fund/
Thanks to all the generous donators (and whales) :)
I've said it before, but the OGs who hit that early emission hard (or those with flow to burn) have consistently supported every aspect of the project. Many kudos.
This and other posts similar is why XMR has the best community
Thats around 450k usd, thats crazy, nice
fiat doesn't have much value
Not until you want to buy something.
that's not value..... that's the illusion you've come to believe as reality. plus you probably using debit or credit, get real dude my boomer grandpa uses cash,
Lol all money and assets are a fucking illusion dude. Why is gold worth shit? Its a rock...Fucking just stop. The dollar is still the strongest money on earth and will be for another 50 years. Doesn't mean crypto wont have its space and uses.
Fiat is a convenient and global method to measure the price of things
Walking to Amazon right now to buy you some Kleenex. Going to need to pick up some new shoes while I’m at it.

🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
But it have some value no? What is the problem if we compare other coins price in it?
But it is the most widely used currency to measure the worth of cryptocurrency
ok normie
I hope it was the pipeline hackers lol
I mean that would show the power of true fungibility.
We’ll never know
You think the chaos they caused was funny?
I think our cyber security infrastructure is laughable, sure.
Colonial pipeline opsec sure was begging for attention

People and corporations caused more chaos in reaction to the hackers in truth, but it’s understandable up until you hit the gas in bags people I guess.

A donation of 1,711 Monero (XMR) to support the project! Great!
What a generous human being :)
You are wellcome!!
Cyberpunk legend out there
@JEhrenhofer @LWhatsHisFace This is indeed a donation!
Hats off to the donor. No BS talk or reputation farming, just direct anonymous action.

Not all heros wear capes
I bet this badass so rich he wears a cape just to sit on the porcelain throne
Oh wow that's really generous. I hope that it goes to good use.
Anonymous donor who doesn't take credit?
I can hear Craig Wright rubbing his hands. /s
Sweet. That’s it, I need to load that view-key myself now.
This is what Monero community is, you have full support from every member.
I think it was Ted Danson
It’s fake philanthropy and faux anonymity!
I would award the donor, but since he's anonymous (as he should be), I'm gonna award this post
Wow that's amazing. Such good news.

Monero is a great coin with such great community, it has full support from every member.

i confess it was me
Nobody gonna comment on the three dollar fees to send all those moneroj? Oh no wait it's .3 cents instead of 3 dollars lol
My last transaction was $0.003
...that's the same price he just said, right?
That depends if you're a verizon billing support rep or not.
Bruuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you read my mind
Smol txt fees = big PP energy
about 3 fiddy
actually it's tree microfiddy
Too MuCh
/s
Thats cheap
Isn't that because it's not as used as Bitcoin? Because if both had the same transactions made per second XMR would suffer even worse consequences than Bitcoin in terms of network slowness as far as the SWOT analysis page is concerned.
I would assume if the fee system is similar to Bitcoin, they would be high as well? I genuinely don't know, and I maybe someone can explain.
the fee structure is in fact different than bitcoins. also the blocksize can dynamically change based on the previous average block size.
also i am pretty sure that fees are meant to DECREASE as blocksize increases. they might increase in the short term as the network adjust but in the long term i think they are meant to decrease
No the small capacity, high fee model of Bitcoin is a very deliberate economic decision, Monero is not build on that model.
No, that's just BTC propaganda. It wouldn't happen to Monero, and Bitcoin Cash has already proved that because for several months it had more transactions than BTC, and fees were still under a cent. We just continued tipping like nothing happened!

Awesome! Thanks also for the tip. Learning everyday :)
chaintip has returned the unclaimed tip of
0.00088265 BCH|~0.56 USDto u/WiseAsshole.Even if XMR wasn't using a dynamic blocksize, fees would be lower. It currently averages almost 1/10th of the transaction volume and the fees are lower than 1/10th. There is also no fee market where you pay more to have your transaction mined faster, so the cost would stay low(er)

.3 cents isn’t $0.03 though, it’s $0.003. Assuming he actually meant .3 cents.
The correct current fee is $0.003, so the guy is a dick for playing the decimal game 😂😂😂
