Love your reviews and the work you put into them! That said, I hope you reconsider your involvement with this company and this game, because WG isn’t listening to ANY of us.

Reminds me on the HMS London thing, and how they used a known faulty source for the camouflage (wrong colours, wrong patterns). I modified the original camo file and tweaked the pattern so it better matched the historical layout, and tweaked the colours to get them to match to a September 1943 situation (with source), and corresponding the Admiralty-regulations that were valid in that period. Had some back & forth with SubOct about it and the fixes applied, even delivered them the raw camo-files I modified, didn't ask a thing in return, not even a mention. And then nothing. London still looks completely wrong.

I stopped playing a while ago and seeing all the fallout from flamu and now this has made me so happy I did, I also stopped playing Wot so as to no longer sponsor any money to this company at all.
They can either clear up their act or (knowing wg) go down in flames on their burning hulk of scraps they call games

As a Canadian who bought Haida the instant I was physically able to, maple camo and all, and who was eagerly looking forward to having an albeit-fictional Canadian BB in the game - a tier 7 one to use in Narai, no less - after reading the bullshit WG put both of you though, they can go read the Kamasutra for every possible position to go fuck themselves. Not spending a single cent on Yukon, and I hate the fact I have to type that sentence out. Their treatment of the both of you, and by extension the ship herself, is unacceptable.

Yukon't make this shit up.
They should have just made the Canadian premium BB a heavily modernized Queen Elizabeth at T7, with Warspite AP and French cruiser speed boost... Or an MBRB, that solves all sorts of issues, apparently.
It would have even been almost historical... instead they opted to downtier famous & historic Monarch to even famouser & even historicer Yukon.

Wow, the Sackville camo looks absolutely gorgeous and has really cool historical significance too! I guess I shouldn't be surprised by now but I'm flabbergasted that WG so badly mismanaged this project.

It's such a shame that they ignored your work done on the graphical side and went straightest path of another "Maple Leaf" camo. It's gorgeous, I must admit, but has the subtlety of a sledgehammer. They could at last make your proposal an alternative camo.
There is a lesson in that for all of us: cooperation with WG is impossible. They will do everything they own way, always. They just "know better".

Exactly. But they are Russian company and Soviet mentality is deeply rooted there. It can be summarizes as: "we are always right, everybody else is wrong, even if we are wrong, we are not going to admit. Never. Even at the loss of opportunity".

It really saddens me how you and Chobi were treated by WG. It just shows again, how ignorant that company is about feedback from their player base and even worse their very important contributors like you, Chobi and others.
The amount of thought and work Chobi put into the camo (and reading about it) sounds mindboggling. I could imagine it and it looked glorious in my mind’s eye.
As an EU player, I can’t post on the NA forums.. I would love to give a piece of my mind to WG.
So thanks to you and your amazing in detail reviews of the ships WG throws at us.
In addition, I would love to see the designs Chobi came up with. Booth designs for the Nunavik and Yukon with flags, badges and all.

Mistreatment due to ignorance/incompetence rather than malice is still mistreatment. I'm not going to rage about it but I will do something that will hurt WG and that is refuse to buy this ship due to how you were treated.

WG ignores the feedback of one of the most popular CCs in the game, can't imagine how important and special the surveys we take must be.

Leaving the entire history of the ship aside.
I am genuinely not a fan of stereotypical camos like the maple one. There is nothing that requires a lower amount of imagination than just copy pasting a national flag on a ship.
Look at the camo selection for Bismarck or the ridiculous stuff the Italian BB got. Or look at those free for all permanent camos for Christmas or these Mad Max ones.
THAT is imagination, not whatever the maple one is supposed to be...
As for the ship itself, I am just happy it did not get a gimmick overload like some other recent or upcoming premium ships. The way she is right now she is "fine" ... Not great, not amazing, but also not Impossible to use.

THAT was WG of 2 years ago. When shit was about to go downhill. Now we are rolling downhill. I still remembered WG saying AP rockets, SmokeRadar, Radar BBs were toxic and not good for the community. Look at us now.

It's good to have a reminder of how little WG cares about the feedback of an average player, when you see how much they ignored the sought feedback of one of the best known and overall most helpful CC's.
Flamu said it best when he said WG couldn't give a shit what players and CCs say about the game and balancing.
The only thing that determines anything is the Holy Almighty Sacred Spreadsheets and their quarterly financial reports.
Don't forget their egos. Can't have someone outdo them at their own job and/or demonstrating why their ideas for the game won't work.

Lots of TST players told them 0.8.0 was going to be a salt mine, and every warning pretty much came true.
