Life on Earth
From a certain perspective, the sun appears to rise
And trillions of beings open, or close, their eyes.
A billion seeds burst open, underneath the ground
Even in parts of the world no person has ever found.
Many thousands of couples release doves
Declaring to the world their mutual love.
Millions of children emerge from the womb,
Everyone they've ever met in but a single room.
They'll meet countless others; people more weathered,
Because it's human nature to come together.
To do nothing at all; or do every thing
To paint, dance, laugh and sing.
To be heard, seen, kind or mean
And all things possible in between.
It's true: to be alive guarantees pain.
But there'd be no life without the rain.
We can grab a friend, and an umbrella
And bask in nature's a capella.
Do not be afraid to cry,
When something precious dies;
And you can find something precious
In every earthly and spiritual crevice.
Some things we aren't meant to understand
But it'll alright if we keep holding hands.
