Does a car become immediately available after cancellation?
My purchase of a car is in the process of falling through. (My driver's license is expiring in a couple of weeks, Carvana told me it needs to be valid for 30 days after purchase, my state is one of two that won't let Carvana accept a temporary license, and there's no way to get a new plastic card by the time Carvana needs it to complete this purchase. Maddening, but not my question right now.)
One workaround occurred to me: my wife could buy the car. There's no financing or trade-ins involved, just a straight cash transaction. She's already created a Carvana account and set it to alert her if my vehicle becomes available again.
My question is: If I cancel the transaction, will the vehicle become immediately available, or will there be a delay? For example, would Carvana adjust the price before re-listing it? She's at work right now, but what I'm picturing is us sitting side by side on the couch this afternoon, me cancelling the transaction, her getting an alert, and her starting to buy it.
Would it be worthwhile to call Carvana about this course of action, or would that cause more problems than it solves?
I am without a vehicle right now, the vehicle shopping process has been long and brutal, and I was really pleased with the one I found, so there's some urgency and some desire to get my hands on this one.

I would call them. I mean, they would WANT to sell the car and you already have the process started. Definitely worth a shot!
