Undervalued Gem: Xinfin | XDC Network

TRADING

Came across this a week ago and I'm surprised that this coin isn't as spoken about as XLM & XRP.

I think CoinGecko summed up XDC better than I ever can so here's their description:

XDC Network is an enterprise-ready hybrid Blockchain technology company optimized for international trade and finance. The XDC Network is powered by the native coin called XDC. The XDC protocol is architected to support smart contracts, 2000TPS, 2seconds transaction time, KYC to Masternodes (Validator Nodes). The XDC Chain (XinFin Digital Contract) uses XinFin Delegated Proof of Stake (XDPoS), with the intending to create a ‘highly-scalable, secure, permission, and commercial grade’ blockchain network. XinFin mainnet token XDC and also creates anopportunity to utilize the XinFin’s real-world use-cases such as TradeFinex.org, helps small and medium businesses or institutions originate their own financial requirements in a digital, fully structured manner so that they can distribute it to the bank or non-bank funders themselves using a common distribution standard.

Now this sounds very promising but there's much more.

Xinfin is the first blockchain company to join the TFD initiative. The TFD initiative consists of many financial institutions(abn amro, commonwealth bank of australia, and many more) where with this initiative they want to set rules and standards for technology based market practices (sharing data, accessing information, etc). This is pretty big news if you ask me! (https://twitter.com/AndreCasterman/status/1427843754560573440)

Xinfin will also be fully interopable with the ISO20022 standard: https://xinfin.org/ISO20022

They recently partenered with Unmarshal (decentralized network of blockchain data indexers and transforming tools to power defi applications on any chain) read: https://blog.unmarshal.io/

On top of that, the project basically has no retail adoption yet.

Their subreddit r/xinfin has 5k members.

They have 52k followers on twitter: https://twitter.com/xinfin_official?lang=en

Tokenomics:

  • Circulating: 12,238,141,964
  • Total supply: 37,599,520,715
  • Market cap: $1,798,072,751
  • Price per token (as of writing): $0.146
  • Only a couple major exchange listings (Bitrex, KuCoin, Bitfinex)

And there's much more about this undervalued gem, but I'll leave some of the other stuff for you guys to find (if you're interested about the project).

this is not investment advice, i personally am invested in xdc. before buying in do some of your own research!

Have you checked the team behind this project? I wonder if it also sounds as promising as it’s idea

Yes, the team is fully doxed. Their co-founder is a part of the ITFA fintech committee.

After you follow the links others provided you, check out Coinclubcrypto on Youtube. Quincy was an AWS developer who recently started working on XDC . Dude explains a plethora of crypto coins and what's unique or worth while about each one.

I didn't see anything about limiting the amount of coins. Wondering if there's a plan for deflation

How does this differ from XLM?

XDC puts a focus on helping traditional finance institutions cross the bridge to blockchain, Stellar can definitely also do this but Stellar also has a high focus on finance for individuals.

XDC has smart contracts. XLM doesn’t (regardless of what you may have heard on this sub—XLM does NOT have Turing complete SCs). XDC is iso20022 compliant and Stellar is not. XDC runs on the r3 cords settler. XDC has public/private smart contracts that are designed for private enterprise use.

XLM (like XRP) is an excellent platform for issuing tokens that represent value. Both have their own versions of “light” smart contracts either implemented or in the works, and both will probably have full smart contract on side chains. Both have a native DEX on which issued assets can be traded for fractions of a penny. Both offer path-finding on their DEXs that leverage existing liquidity across all pairs to find the cheapest value bridge. One can imagine derivatives and CBDCs as tokens on the XLM and XRP ledgers trading on their DEXs.

For further info on both: check out this kid’s YT channel. He’s an XDC developer:

I love Xinfin. Easily 10X this year and then maybe even 30X to get at XRP cap

It does what XLM and XRP already do? But just has different sponsorships? I just don’t see the benefits?

1

In the finance space there's many players. This coin is still very small and can grow to be big with their own set of partnerships.

Right, but unless it brings something new to the table, I don’t see a NEED for it to exist, even if just in the short term.

what's the need for all the different banks we have? each chain will have their own strengths & weaknesses. XDC an XRP are more aimed towards legacy/traditional finance institutions, providing them with blockchain whereas Stellar & CELO would be more focused towards individuals.
