I don’t know what game they’re talking about, but the post mentioning waifu to husbando balance kind of makes me think that the commenter has a point about it being so off balance (although I can’t vouch for his reasoning behind it): Straight gals and gay guys deserve equal fan service.
It doesn’t sound like those female characters are there so women can feel represented, but rather for men to drool over, and if that’s all these characters are, then the game balance is still skewed toward straight male players and I say give us husbandos.

Oh. Yeah that’s totally a waifu game. I stand by my stance: moar husbandos. With a fan service type game, the high concentration of female characters are there for straight men’s benefit, not for women’s.

Uhh I don't think you really understand this... The female characters are there for male players. There's a ton of sexualization of them. Female players mostly have been asking for more male characters.

Nor Yanfei. Nor Klee. Nor Mona. Nor Amber. Or really most of them.
Really its Fischl and.. Barbara? Idk if you can call her shy just extremely modest. I guess Ganyu? Again more quiet than shy but that also works with her kirin theme.
The characters definitely have their archetypes I just think they are far more varied than this comment gives credit for.

Jean and Barbara are the shy types. The recent ones like ganyu and ayaka are also the shy waifu fantasy archetype. Then eula, baal and sara are the tsundere ones. Yoimiya is cool but they had to make her bad. Hutao is a good exception. No hopes for kokomi though, she didn't even play the cunning role she was anticipated for. They could at least try to give the characters more personality beside being fetish material for dudebros smh. Plus their outfits are always just "Show thighs and/or boobs as much as possible" even if it looks plain weird, like Raiden's design, for example
As for mona, she is so highly sexualized it's painful. She has a good personality but all she's known for is her skintight clothes ffs, it's annoying.

The game is genshin impact and it does have more female characters than male or other, but i kinda don't get why thats a problem? Like, me and every other girl i know have played as and emphatized with male characters/protagonists with no problem. I dont get why thats so hard for male gamers to do.
