I was just told off, by an eavesdropper at the next table at a coffee shop, who felt the need to tell me that me saying angry men can be scary was “misandrist” and “bigoted”, and that I shouldn’t say things like that….

…..I was talking to a friend, who’s sister was fucking murdered by her husband, about red flags she’s noticing about her new partner.

I bought a bunch of the silver flakey collection, fake date, mint money, etc, a little over a year ago. All the rest are fine (you know, settles and separates after being around for so long but a good shake and it mixes up) and the colours have stayed the same. However Cold shoulder, a blue semi sheer polish with silver flakes, has turned into a thick, murky, dark blue/green and the goalies have gone from silver to like.. a tarnished brassy colour.

Does anyone know what’s going on with it, or have had something similar happen?

I live in a multi story apartment building, and for the past week I keep hearing what I can only really describe as, like, if someone had a wood shop above/around my apartment. Tonight there’s definitely been some sort of power sander used and now it sounds like someone’s sawing something, extremely loudly to the point where it sounds more like it’s happening in my bathroom rather than another apartment. It doesn’t happen past 11 so I’m not complaining, just kind of perplexed. The building always has some construction going on in unoccupied units, but all the units that I share a wall/ceiling with have people living in them.

Any ideas as to what’s going on? Do I live below YouTube DIYers?

Every time I try to paint along the edge of the nail, it ends up uneven and the edge of my nail looks/feels a bit bumpy. I’ve tried swiping across my nail with the brush both perpendicular and parallel to the nail, and neither way seems to do what I want.

Also, my nails aren’t super long, same length as my fingertip to 3 mm past my fingertip, so I sometimes end up having to clean my fingers up with a toothpick after painting the edges. If anyone has any tips for painting edges cleanly on shorter nails, I’d be so stoked.

I’m a big fan of booze. Worked as a bartender and at a brewery at one point, am a massive fan of wine, and love trying different scotches, martinis, etc. Recently I started a medication that I have to take everyday, and while it doesn’t say not to drink, I’ve been noticing lately that even small amounts of alcohol, make me feel kind of queasy. I can drink water, eat while drinking, and nothing seems to help.

I’ve been trying out alcohol-free options, a wide variety of beers, wines, and even spirits but a lot of them are big misses, and the few that are good I have to order online from outside the country.

Season two of legend of korra is well known as the “worst” of the avatar universe, but it also contains some of the best gems of the universe (Jinora unlocking self spirit bending, spirit bending in general, the legend of Wan, Iroh’s first Cameo, the idea of cultural battling between the North and South tribes, dark avatar etc). Every element has such potential, but it’s just all wasted.

Just wanting to share/celebrate a little moment of happiness.

I live on my own, and now that my province is deep into the second wave(getting higher daily cases than the peak of the lockdown), my bubble has decreased so dramatically that only people I have to see are inside it. One of those few people is my ex boyfriend, as we were/are so close with each other’s families that they care packages with stuff for both of us.

Last night the isolation hit me hard, as I realized that I don’t have any other women in my bubble. I told him that, and that I just miss having a girls night, so he showed up with sparkling wine, chips and dip, face masks, and wash out hair dye, and we set up a zoom c
