Are all weapons balanced?

Question

Bloodborne has a lot of really cool weapons but are they all viable, or are some good while others are just terrible? I'm asking cause I don't have a ps4

Any of them are viable really. I mean Zerolenny beat the game including the chalices and DLC with a torch. Ymfah did it with only guns.

Some of the weapons are more advanced to use. The starting weapons can take you to endgame though if you play your cards right. And with the gems system you have the ability to make almost any weapon work.

May the game have mercy on the person who does a wooden shield only run.

Hahaha maybe we should suggest this to ChallengerAndy or someone like that

There are the obvious joke weapons (plank shield, torch, etc) but other than that even the silly weapons (looking at you, cart wheel) are usable. Weapons in this game range from what you'd consider a 7 to a 10/10 in any other game, but there are of course more meta options and more niche options

This is a good take. Some weapons (cough cough Whriligig Saw, Church Pick) feel way overtuned, while others, like the Reiterpallasch, feel fair and harder to use, but not one I’d say it’s outright useless.

Yeah, anyone that says no weapon is better than others has clearly never used a chikage before, and anyone that says that some weapons are unusable has never used the cane before. Every weapon is good enough, its just that some are more enough than others. So at the end of the day it mostly comes down to fun over meta, but please admit that meta exists

They are pretty much all viable, although some are superior to others. If you just want to blast through the game in the easiest way possible you may choose a different weapon than if you want to have fun with something unusual.

It's also highly subjective and depends on your personal likes and dislikes for a weapon.

All weapons are viable. Some weapons are easier to learn to use well than others, some require more complicated gem setups to get the most effectiveness out of them, and some are slightly more effective than others when used at maximum efficiency by their player. None are bad. So if you find a weapon that seems fun and/or easy to use for you, you don't need to worry that you're trying to get through the game with a junk weapon.
