Not the meta level, below that like when you first get there on a character after beating pontiff for the first time on that character

I'm wanting to make a dex build, I've only done a build like this with the sellsword twinblades but I want to do a different weapon, what should I use?

Personally, I never use straight swords. I don't like using them. A lot of people use a straight sword for the whole game, and I want to know what you like about them and why they work well. This is for PvE

Bloodborne has a lot of really cool weapons but are they all viable, or are some good while others are just terrible? I'm asking cause I don't have a ps4

Are there any weapons I can get, relatively early game, that are really good and will last me the entire game? I don't like weapons that just chip away at health, I want a real boss shredder. An early game boss shredder might not exist, but what is the closest to that?

I know I'm supposed to run under and shoot the engine when it opens. I've done this 50 times, each time it explodes and the robot does the stagger animation but the fight never ends. I've learned to imitate the videos on the fight perfectly since I've been doing this 'boss fight' forever but literally nothing happens, no matter how many times the engine explodes it never ends. What am I doing wrong?
