Multiple claimant mechanics?

Question

Has there been any word about whether a country can have multiple claimants to the throne? I'm think of France where monarchists would not be united in who should sit the throne. Will there be mechanics for resotring the Bonaparte's instead of the Orleans or Bourbons? Or will there just be generally moanrchists?

For the french example, i'd say that the Bourbon Restoration would be mostly pushed for by the Landed Gentry. The Orleans "Monarchie de Juillet" would be pushed for by the Capitalists and the Petite Bourgeoisie, and Bonaparte would be pushed for by the Armed Forces (even if had good support from the Church and the Capitalists).

I think the IG system is perfectly capable of handling the difference flavors of kings and emperors France had.

Given the realities in France and Spain at the time it would be interesting, but I don't really see room for it in the IG system. Maybe it'd be specific to popular movements...

At present it looks like new monarchs are simply generated at random which is very unfortunate. It would be cool if the game kept track of potential claimants or indeed allowed you to restore a monarch who had previously been deposed, but that doesn't seem to be in the game for release. Hopefully this gets revisited down the road because I agree this could slot nicely into the existing IG/popular movement system.

Damn. If that turns out to be true, I'll probably hold off on buying. That seems like such a major factor in France and Spain for the period and Bonaparist France was likely going to be my first run after figuring the game out.
