I soaked up all your energy

And I feel like such a mess
I’ve always had the greatest friends
But now I have one less

I chose the status quo
I regret the way I handled it
I took away your glow

For the first time in my life
The guilt, it still surrounds me
And it punctures like a knife

That I have never done before
But now the love is poisoned
