Yeah I’m in nursery helping my wife. My daughter is there so it sure beats going to EQ or SS. But I don’t know what I’m gonna do when they take us out of this calling

Yes it's emotionally draining to attend church and act like you care but inside you don't give a flying f. I drew a picture of a facial mask with the quote I made up Sometimes a mask just hides the pain someone is feeling inside.. that's how church is for me sometimes and it sucks.

I’m currently attending BYU Idaho and it drains my life-force. If tuition prices weren’t so fucking high everywhere else I would go anywhere else. I just try to enjoy the tender mercies of cheap (albeit weird) school while dealing with the trials and tribulations of pretending to be Mormon

It’s kinda the worst when like our physical needs are dependent on being in the church. It’s really messed up actually. Like for you, School And future work and everything.

Well while I’m PIMO one thing I recommend is find exmo ir nevermo close friends. It counters the worst parts of it.

Oh I have a wonderful group of friends that are all PIMO or exmo and it makes things very bearable. The only difficult thing for me socially is dating. Not being interested in TBMs doesn’t exactly give me a lot of options in that regard

I've managed to avoid a calling and and church responsibility for over a year now. My wife tells me tonight that they want to give US a calling. I don't want to do it, and I don't have the time for it anyway. Blah, PIMO hell, lol

I move between wards relatively frequently since I’m a student, so thankfully I can usually just say no to callings by giving generic excuses like “I’m too busy with school and work” without drawing too much unwanted attention. I hope you can somehow find a way out of this new calling

Both wife and I are pimo. We are activity day leads and I am just barely holding on. I am literally on my last calling because I’ve turned down everything else and I am “unemployable” after this one.

Who is keeping you in? Spouse? Parents? Judgmental neighbors?
Adult children. Losing access to grand children. Losing a job. Losing health insurance provided by TBM spouse's job. Divorce Disowned by parents. Disinherited by parents. Loss of clients. Minor children still at home. Financial ruin. Loss of friends.
I know many gay men who thought they would lose all kinds of stuff like that and didn't. Some however did lose many important things like the ones on your list. U might lose all of that. U will however for sure lose the life u could have had until u leave. Though those things sound important - they aren't worth loosing the life u could have had.
