Has anyone else been ripped off on mTurk?

I've written a couple short articles (400-700 words apiece) and they were allegedly rejected. I think the requester is getting original content and not paying for it. The requester claimed my article didn't pass copyscape, one said the format has been used several times (this is after the requester asked for a specific format - not that format is distinct from content), and one said the keyword wasn't implemented in the article even though it was. Is there any recourse? Can we build a database on here for shady requesters? I wasted my time and effort and feel very ripped off.

You can try to email the requester but you probably won't have any luck getting your rejection revoked. In the future I'd stick with only using requesters that have a solid positive review history on TO. I learned my lesson the hard way too, dropped my approval rating by a couple of percentage points and it took me forever to get it back up again.

I avoid writing articles, so I'm not sure. You need to add turkopticon to your scripts. That's what people are talking about when they say TO. I've only had 5 rejects out of almost 500 so far.

Just FYI, a lot of the time reqeusters who want written articles will allow for a certain percent to be approved and a certain percent to be rejected, i.e., if your article is one of the better ones you get paid, otherwise not. Some will just blatantly say it, like 75% will get paid, but others won't and who knows what their rate is. I've only done 1 writing task and it was approved.
