Again, not a perfect solution but I think just a simple split makes it easier to read. Also, "his hand squeezed the handle" sounds weird. Why not just say "He squeezed the handle"? Squeezing is already an action that requires hands, so no need to specify that.

# Story and Plot

Again, I think your story and plot are mostly fine. However, there were some issues, or rather, things that didn't convince me a lot.

My first main issue is from when he encounters the two guys. So, the reason why Riordan doesn't attack them is because the risk of one of them escaping. From how you worded it (and from how you portrayed Riordan's bow skills) it seems like he can take out one of the guys, but the other can escape before he could kill him. All fine up until now. 

But why doesn't he attack when they both fight the blood seeker? Wouldn't be easy to kill them while they are both busy fighting a ten-feet long lizard? You could just say that he didn't wanna risk it either way, which I can understand. But still, making the decision of following and killing them after they fought the lizard doesn't make any sense to me. If he was already going to kill them despite the danger, why not take advantage of the situation? Maybe you can say that it was hard to aim a

# Prose

You asked about the prose first, so I'll start there. I am not a native English speaker either, so take my words with a grain of salt. 

I think you have a really solid prose, and you use the language well for a non-native. However, the main issue I noticed about your prose was that you use sentences with so many clauses that most of your sentences are tiring to read.

Let's break this sentence for instance.

1- He squeezes the knife.

Hello. This is a short story that I am writing. I have an idea for a novel, but, before committing to a larger work, I wanna make sure I learn the English grammar rules correctly and improve my writing.
