/r/hockey Mock Draft GM nomination and prospect discussion thread

Who do you want to handle the 2nd overall pick in r/hockey's mock draft, and which player would you like to see added to the Columbus Blue Jackets system?

Since trades have been removed from the equation I'm going to have to re-poll everyone... Top two selections have been Forsberg & Galcheyuk. If Edmonton doesn't pass on Yakupov which one do you guys want?

Forsberg... he seems like a safer pick than Galchenyuk.

I second Forsberg. Maybe not quite as much upside, but certainly the safer pick...

I say we go with Galchenyuk.

I'll actually second that. If there's enough evidence that gally will be that much better than forsberg down the road, it could be worth the risk. But I'm not sure what the club really needs is a risky draft pick.
