Let's oversimplify this , let's talk about petrol price It depends on 3 things

1] Int oil prices 2] Taxes imposed by Nepal 3] logistics

1] Increase in the int oil prices is the main reason behind the price hike ! Our government can't control this , neither can the Indian government ! There is literally 0 they can do about this

3] logistics like transportation, storage are fixed costs so not much can be done here

2] taxes , the only thing that is going to reduce oil prices is if they cut down on the taxes imposed on imported gasoline ! And I think this is what will happen I the near future ! But one thing to remember is the NOC has been in loss since the Russian Ukraine War started , when the petrol price was 180 ,it would cost them 184/85 per litter so they had no choice but to bump up the price ! It's sad to see many protesting not knowing what it is they want change in
