I will make you…

Poem

I will see your struggle and freedom,
your sanctuary and prison.
Your walls and your ocean will be my stage.
I will make you the vision.

I will listen to your truths and lies,
your history and fiction.
Your stories and your poetry will be my narrative.
I will make you the archive.

I will breathe in your fear and confidence,
your pleasure and pain.
Your aroma and your scent will be my air.
I will make you the fragrance.

I will taste your sugar and bitterness,
your salt and sweetness.
Your flesh and your fruit will be my feast.
I will make you the flavour.

I will touch your inside and outside,
your body and mind.
Your textures and contours will become my reality.
I will make you the dream.

I see this as a very truthful & spot-on metaphor for the metaverse world and all of this, that many of us take part in now. :) While I share all my soul with you, you may mine me for gold. :) I could become a part of your next idea. May I ask what you were thinking as you wrote it? I love it. It's perfect to me. OMG, it is just a lovely poem about loving someone is it? It reminds me of something I wrote a while back. Please forgive me for rambling on I really do love your poem and thank you for sharing it.

Rambling is welcome and thank you for reading and for the compliments.
It's about many things but it's about what the poet wrote about and more what the reader finds in it.
A lot of my work is either horror or erotica or a crossover of the two.
This sits firmly in erotica but with a slice of the philosophical, as I often do.

Love it! :) Thank you for replying so kindly.

God has a vision for me and lets me go through pain for because he is using it to make me better, that's what my dad always said.

I'm not trying to be the religious guy, but this is all I could think of while reading this, I guess it sounds like something God would say.

That's a very interesting and valid perspective, thank you for reading.

Hello readers, welcome to OCpoetry. This subreddit is a writing workshop community -- a place where poets of all skill levels can share, enjoy, and talk about each other's poetry. Every person who's shared, including the OP above, has given some feedback (those are the links in the post) and hopes to receive some in return (from you, the readers).

If you really enjoyed this poem and just want to drop a quick comment, to show some appreciation or give kudos, things like "great job!" or "made me cry", or "loved it" or "so relateable", please do. Everyone loves a compliment. Thanks for taking the time to read and enjoy.

If you want to share your own poem, you'll need to give this writer some detailed feedback. Good feedback explains from your point of view what it was like to read the poem, and then tries to explain how the poem made you feel like that. If you're not sure what that means, check out our feedback guide, or look through the comment sections of any other post here, or click the links to the author's feedback above. If you're not sure whether your comments are feedback, or you have any other questions, please send us a modmail.

it can add more flow if the adjectives were in the same order

for example, swapping the places of “sanctuary” and “prison” since “struggle” comes before “freedom”, unless this is a conscious choice by the author (you)

It's a conscious choice but thank you for the input...oh and thank you for the clarification but I knew who the author was :)

should “history” and “fiction” be swapped

Not in my opinion as the author (me) but you are welcome to your own.
