I love how the poem sounds when read in my head, especially the ending.
I think the inclusion of “still am, don’t get me wrong” and the length of the poem lightens the mood making it more casual/friendly. Just a personal preference but long deep romantic poems are a bit much for me and lose my attention quickly, so I love this one! I liked all of the visuals you chose too. Great job:)

I was doing okay

Still am, don't get me wrong

It's just that I made the mistake of trying to decide what color your eyes were

They are the color of the ocean in winter  
Molten mercury  
The air  
..........just  
....................before  
..............................it rains
