We met like most people do

In summer, in bloom

Smiling and laughing with you

Hiding romance I caught in your eye too soon

In an instant I'll have to grow distant

While counting down the days

A rush of euphoria stays

So long as I feel this way

No longer will my clouds turn gray

'Till im gone, I'll sing happier songs

Like a morning bird's tune

Everything's a little brighter with you

As if the dawn and its dew

Vacate my thoughts of a day before you

Into the book I keep my poems in

Not sure if I'm even worth sharing it

Gone before I knew you and gone with the wind
