cliff diving from the highest point in creation
We are here in the deep. The edge of clear ice. I was happy staring at the stars until they turned into reminders of places I'd never reach. I lie here staring at the northern lights, unreachable. One hand reaches to a door slightly open. One hand reaches for the handle. And the other for the lock.
Bones split a thousand trillion times, until all that's left is a tome of tiny rocks, deeper and deeper I sink, while the light gets brighter and brighter. I'm falling in reverse through the void.
I once was a god and now I am a fool. Trapped in this underplace, this hell of cold fires and desert sands. What happens to a god who no longer wishes to be a god?
They cliff jump from the highest point in existence
And as they fall,
They expect a splat
But all they'll get
Is the never ending agony
The cold air penetrating thier skin
And the unbearable pain of being forgotten

This was beautiful, I love how you conveyed the theme of futility. Incredibly emotional. I hope you write more.
