Nerdy math poem
I cannot make this circle square
I’ll tell you if, perchance, you care
Of angles, tangents, rules, and vectors
Mathematical conjectures
Geometric regulation
Disallows that shape’s creation
You see, since π is transcendental
And is, for circles, fundamental
It can’t be built from smaller pieces
Lindemann said so in his thesis
Unless one uses better tools
Than compasses and simple rules
A circle, one can not prepare
That bounds the same space as a square.
