Anyone made a big, portable workspace like this?

Inquiry

I recently left a job where I had access to a wonderfully-equipped radio workshop. Now that I've left, I've been thinking a lot about making my own workshop for repair or manufacturing projects at home. I don't have a space I can dedicate to this, however, so I've been dreaming about a fully-equipped workspace that folds up into an armoire-, or cupboard-like shape. I want something not portable, per se, but moveable, that I can have in a spare room and fold up neatly when not in use; and move easily to a new home.

I've seen a few portable workspaces that are suitcase-like, but they require a separate bench and don't really fit any test equipment.

I came across this very interesting design by a Japanese designer for an entire workspace, who apparently published it as 'open-source' but the plans seem incomplete and I can't find any evidence that anyone has actually built it.

Nevertheless, it's the closest design to what I want. Has anyone else done something similar?

Seems needlessly complicated. Just get a bunch of shelves on wheels.

The reason I want an all-in-one solution, and mere shelves on wheels won't solve is that I need a workspace, not just storage; and I want to close up that workspace and move it easily. The room in which it'll be will not be a dedicated space.

Here is a similar one no idea about quality, I just saw it in my web travels. https://www.createroom.com/products/dreambox

That looks pretty good. However, impossible for me to buy as I'm in Australia. Thanks for the inspiration, though!

Have a look at these for inspiration. https://storage4crafts.com.au/product-category/storage-furniture/new-storeaway-cupboards/

Fairly simple to make. Basically just boxes connected by hinges. Castors on the bottom to take the weight. Fold down workbench.

Might have to. I know CAD, but I don't know woodworking. What could possibly go wrong?
