Untitled
Untitled
I stand on the edge of the highway,
abandoned, offering you the last piece
of my rib cage, the bone splintered, razor thin
cuts piercing my palm. Bloody tissue,
exposed tendons, pus dripping down my legs.
And my torso collapses.
You cruise off, flick a cigarette butt
out the window, unravel the rest of my body,
drag it along. Don't you dare
look back. You moved through me
like water once—inherent and
vital. Had you asked me to do it all over again,
do you know what I would say?

This is a great poem.
What I like the most is this part:
I like this because it is like the subject thought of doing this, but didn't. I like that imagery.
I hope to see more from you: 10/10.
