[2598] Debt

Hey, look at me being brave and submitting something. I honestly didn't think I'd get any writing done this year since life's been a bit of a roller coaster, but here we are.

I don't expect people to have read my last submission, but I'll mention that this is from the same universe. Same MC, different timeline, 1st person instead of 3rd yadda yadda. Similarly to my last post, this is also a standalone flashback scene, but this one has more context and should be more clear.

I'll be happy for any and all feedback, but I'll love you if you talk about the characters and how they come across.
