Constant Contradiction
When the sky is cloudy
My mind is clear
When the waves crash
I am put together
As noise surrounds me
I am filled with silence
Each breath I take is vacant
Each step I take is vagrant
I turn blue as bright yellow shines
With everything I see, I find nothing
As sirens blare and motors flair
I am the nature that stands in firm protest
As people laugh and chatter
I have no words of my own
As wildlife scurries and scatters
It is I who feels like the true beast, alone
But as streams flow and waters ripple and rill
My mind, body, and soul are still
