Heartbreak?
Wish it’d have led another way,
With this much left undone and unsaid.
So afraid I might break your heart someday,
That you chose to break mine instead.
Part of me wishes we’d never met at all,
Yet grateful for our big moments and small.
I’m glad though not being the one who resisted,
Because I felt things I didn’t know existed.
A truth of life’s letting close ones part,
Said the wiz bit brain to the aching heart.
Knowing it pointless damps not the sting,
But let’s see if time does change everything.
