My gf[23] may have broken up with me[25] but refuses to talk to me about anything

I really don't know what's going on. This relationship is only 2 months old. However, due to summer break we are separated for the time being.

Being in a long distance relationship is hard, and being in a long distance relationship while in the 'honey-moon phase' is doubly so. I wanted to call and talk to her a lot but her mom got mad or something so she told me no more talking on the phone. We resorted to IMing but after a while a schedules didn't match up and I never really got to talk to her for an extended period of time.

I confronted her about this issue. I was trying to be patient but it built up and I wrote a long rant detailing my feelings and wishing to be able to communicate with her.

She hasn't talked to me since then. It's been two days and I haven't heard from her at all.

In the past she's had a long distance relationship and she ended it with him in pretty much the same way. She just stopped talking to him. I have no idea if that's what's happening to me right now. Is this a common thing that girls do? Was I at fault for wanting to talk to her despite the fact that it would anger her mother? Should I have just shut up and dealt with not being able to talk to her for the duration of the summer?

TL;DR long distance gf won't talk to me. Does this mean she broke up with me?

I would say no it's not a common thing for girls to do. It is, however, an extremely douchey thing to do on her part. You are not at faul for wanting to communicate as how else are you supposed to keep the relationship alive in an LDR? It takes two for a relationship to work and she simply wasn't pulling her weight and the burden became too much for oyu to bear. If she had wanted to talk to you she would have found a way, angry mother or not.

I think you should move on. Send a confirmation email to her with something along the lines of " I noticed that you haven't replied to my last message. I remember how you told me you broke up with your previous LDR bf. I just want to make sure that you are indeed done with the relationship so I can move on without any worries or strings attached. If I do not receive a reply within x amount of time I will consider us done and over with. You will not be getting another message from me again after that. Best, XXXXX".

I think this is what I need to hear. It isn't what I want but it sounds like this is the way it is.

In the past we have gone 3-4 days without communication though. This was because she was on a vacation trip though. I think I'll wait a week or so just to be sure and then send her that email.

Thank you so much. I just needed to hear someone else say it I think.

Easily the best suggestion on here.

23 and it angered her mother?? Sounds like she's a mommas girl who still has a lot of growing up to do. Ask yourself if this is something that you want to deal with.

The whole "I can't talk on the phone bc of my mom" seems a bit like bullshit to me.
